How To Submit a Port Request

How to port existing phone numbers into LeadSnap from another system

Quick Links

Step 1

Navigate to Port Number

Click "Phone" in the top navigation bar. In the left-hand navigation, click "Port Number." This opens the Port Requests page where all submitted port requests are managed.

Step 2

Start a New Port Request

In the top-right corner, click the green "+ New Port Request" button. This opens the port request form.

Step 3

Select Country and Accept Agreements

On the left side of the form, select the country that the phone numbers you are porting are currently in.

Below the country selector, you will see four checkboxes. You must check all four before submitting. These are agreement checkboxes confirming that you understand and accept the conditions of the port request.

Important: All four checkboxes must be selected or your port request cannot be submitted.

Step 4

Fill Out Your Port Request Details

In the middle section of the form, fill out the following fields:

  • Port Request Name — give this request a clear, identifiable name

  • Account Type — select Residential or Business. For the vast majority of cases, the numbers being ported will be residential

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Address

  • City

  • State

  • Post Code

Step 5

Enter Your Phone Numbers

Below your contact information, you'll see three number entry areas. Use the one that matches where your numbers are currently hosted:

Number Type

When To Use

Landline and Toll-Free Numbers

Use this field if you are porting toll-free numbers

Wireless Numbers

Use this field if the numbers are currently on a major carrier such as Verizon or AT&T

Tracking Numbers

Use this field if the numbers are coming from another VoIP or call tracking platform. This is the most commonly used option.

For each tracking number entry, fill in three fields:

  • Left box — enter the tracking number you are porting

  • Middle dropdown — select which company in LeadSnap you want this number associated with

  • Right box — enter the forwarding number for this tracking number

Click "Add Another Tracking Number" to add additional rows. There is no limit to how many numbers you can include on a single port request.

Tip: Filling in the company and forwarding number for each tracking number now means the numbers will be fully configured and ready to use the moment the port completes — no additional setup required.

Step 6

Upload Required Documents

On the right side of the form, you'll find the Documents section. Two uploads are required:

Letter of Authorization (LOA)

Click the "Letter of Authorization PDF" link to download the LOA form. Fill it out completely, then upload it using the upload button below the link.

Billing Statement

Upload your most recent billing statement from the carrier or platform you are porting the numbers away from. Log into that platform, download the latest statement from their billing section, and upload it here.

Important: Both documents are required. Port requests submitted without a completed LOA and a current billing statement will not be processed.

Step 7

Submit Your Request

Once all fields are filled out and both documents are uploaded, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit." This notifies the LeadSnap team that a port request is ready for processing.

After submitting, send a message to the LeadSnap team via live chat to let them know the request has been submitted so they can begin working on it promptly.

Tip: Port requests typically take a couple of weeks to complete. Your numbers will remain active on your current carrier right up until they go live in LeadSnap — there will be no significant downtime during the transition.
