Video Walkthrough:
Step 1
Navigate into the GBP
From the main dashboard, click into the specific Google Business Profile (GBP) you want to set up auto posting for. You must be inside a GBP to access this feature — the Auto Post option will not appear if you are viewing the All Locations screen.
Important: Auto Post is only visible when you are inside an individual GBP. If you don’t see it in the left navigation, make sure you’ve clicked into a specific location first. |
Step 2
Open Auto Post
In the left-hand navigation menu, look under the Posting section and click “Auto Post.” This opens the auto posting configuration page for the selected GBP.
Step 3
Turn On the Toggle
At the top of the Auto Post page, you’ll see a toggle switch labeled “Automate GBP Posting.” Flip this switch to the On position to activate the feature. You can turn it off at any time to stop future posts from going out.
Important: Turning off the toggle will also delete any currently scheduled posts. If you want to pause posting temporarily, keep in mind that you’ll need to regenerate scheduled posts when you turn it back on. |
Step 4
Set Your Posting Schedule
Below the toggle, you’ll find the Scheduling section. You have two options:
Option | What It Does |
Trust LeadSnap (default) | Automatically schedules two posts per week. Recommended for most users. |
Custom Frequency | Set your own posting interval if you want to post more or less often than twice per week. |
Step 5
Choose a Call to Action
Select a Call to Action (CTA) that will appear on each post. Pick the one that best fits the action you want customers to take when they see your posts.

Step 6
Configure Your Prompts, Photos, and Tone
The Configure Post / Images section is where you tell LeadSnap what to write about, which photos to use, and how the content should sound. Each prompt you create represents a different topic or service.
Adding Prompts
Click “Add New Prompt” to create a prompt. Each prompt should focus on a different service or topic the business offers. For example, if you’re a plumber, you might have separate prompts for drain cleaning, water heater repair, and bathroom remodeling.
The more prompts you add, the more variety your posts will have. LeadSnap rotates through your prompts evenly — so if you have 10 prompts, each one will be used roughly 10% of the time.
Assigning Photos
Within each prompt, you’ll see a Select Photos area. You have three options:
Choose specific photos from your GBP — hand-pick individual images already uploaded to your Google Business Profile.
Use all photos from your GBP — let LeadSnap pull from your entire GBP photo library.
Upload your own images — add a new batch of photos directly from your computer.
Tip: Each prompt needs its own set of images. When a prompt is selected for a post, LeadSnap will use one of the images assigned to that specific prompt. |
Setting Tone and Extras
Each prompt also includes these options:
Tone — choose from a preset list to control how the content sounds (e.g., professional, friendly, casual).
Include Emojis — check this box if you want emojis added to your posts.
Include Hashtags — check this box if you want relevant hashtags included in your posts.
Step 7
Save and Start Generating
Once you’ve finished setting up your prompts, images, tone, and other preferences, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Save and Start Generating.”
Here’s what happens next:
LeadSnap immediately creates and publishes your first post.
A second post is scheduled for the future based on your chosen frequency. For example, if you’re using Trust LeadSnap (two posts per week), the next post will be scheduled roughly three days out.
There will always be one scheduled post queued up and ready to go. As soon as that post publishes, the next one is automatically scheduled.
Step 8
Ensure the posts are generating
Navigate to the all posts page. You should see 1 post either "Pending" or "Published" already and you will see 1 post set to "Scheduled". If you see these posts then the auto posting is working and LeadSnap will continue to publish posts using your settings! LeadSnap will always generate the next scheduled post ahead of time so you can preview it and edit it if needed.
