Video walkthrough
Step 1
Navigate to Citations > Business Details
In LeadSnap, open the client’s GBP location using the location selector in the left navigation. Once inside the location, find “Citations” in the left navigation menu, then select “Business Details” from the sub-menu.
This is the page where all citation data is entered.
Step 2
Fill Out Every Field on the Page
Work through every field on the Business Details page and fill it in completely. Only leave a field blank if the information genuinely does not exist for this client — for example, leave the Facebook URL blank if the client has no Facebook page.
Do not leave fields blank simply because you are unsure — check with the client or their website first. The more complete the data, the stronger and more consistent the directory listings LeadSnap will build.
Step 3
Activate the Citation Subscription
After saving, locate the “Activate Subscription” toggle in the top right of the Business Details page. Click it to turn it on.
Once activated, LeadSnap will automatically begin building and managing directory listings across the web using the business details you provided. This process runs in the background — no further action is needed for the initial build.
Tip: Directory listings may take days to weeks to fully propagate across all platforms after activation. This is normal — LeadSnap handles the distribution automatically in the background. |
Step 4
Upload Fresh Photos Monthly (Ongoing)
Once citations are set up, there’s one small recurring task to keep listings active and relevant: uploading fresh photos once a month.
Navigate into the client’s GBP location in LeadSnap. In the left navigation, click “Citations” then select “Photos” from the sub-menu.
Add one or two fresh images to the citation photos section. These images will be pushed to the directory listings LeadSnap manages, signaling that the business is active and maintaining its listings. Use real photos of the business — completed jobs, team photos, equipment, or the office/storefront.
Tip: Set a monthly calendar reminder for this task. It takes under five minutes but is important for keeping listings relevant across directory sites. |
Tip: You don’t need many images — one or two per month is sufficient. The goal is regular activity, not volume. Stale listings with no updates can lose placement in some directories over time. |
